DEGREE COURSES

Medicine: degree course for International Students, fully taught in English (360 ECTS, mandatory attendance). Graduates are awarded the title of “Doctor in Medicine (MUDr. Or MD)”. Duration: 6 years. Start: mid-september.

Dentistry: degree course for International Students, fully taught in English (300 ECTS, mandatory attendance). Graduates are awarded the title of “Doctor of Dentistry (DMD)”. Duration: 6 years. Start: mid-september.

The University is located in Košice, the second largest city in Slovak Republic with a population of almost 250,000. Košice is home to a number of universities as well as the Slovak Constitutional Court and the Slovak Airforce Academy. The city has been designated the European Capital of Culture in 2013.   

Founded in 1952, Technical University of Košice is today articulated in 9 faculties: mining engineering, environmental engineering, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, construction engineering, product engineering, arts, aviation and economy (the last one located in Prešov)  

Other universities in the city include Bratislava’s University of Economics, University of Nitra’s faculty of economics and management, and the Catholic University in Ružomberok. Each one have a branch based in the city. 

Košice has its own international airport, which is the second largest in the country, and is 6 km away from the city centre. Flights to Košice are usually 60 mins long.

ADMISSION PROCESS

In order to be admitted into this University, candidates are required to sit an entrance written examination, followed by an interview. The written examination consists of a multiple choice test focused on the subjects of Biology and Chemistry. With our prep course we will prepare the student in short time so that he will be able to brillantly pass the test.

DEGREE RECOGNITION

All the study programmes of the University comply to the european standards SEIS (which identify the same educational protocols in all european universities), are adapted to the Bologna Process and use the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). This University partecipate in the Erasmus Programme, allowing its students to study for a period of time at other Universitites such as Università degli studi di Padova, Università degli studi di Pavia, Università di Roma La Sapienza, Università degli studi di Parma and Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II.
