Overview
The Medical University of Plovdiv, founded in 1945, is one of Bulgaria’s leading public universities in medicine and health sciences. It comprises the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Public Health, as well as specialist departments and affiliated clinical facilities.
Over time, the institution has developed and consolidated its role, becoming the Medical University of Plovdiv in 2002: a point of reference for Bulgarian and international students, with a structured academic environment focused on professional training.

Degree programmes
The Medicine programme follows the Problem-Based Learning approach. This teaching method focuses on solving real health problems, which makes the degree much more dynamic and realistic.
Graduates receive the title of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Students train in modern, fully equipped facilities within the faculty.

The university is in Plovdiv, the historic capital of Thrace and Bulgaria’s second-largest city after Sofia. It has a very strong cultural identity and is known for its well-preserved old town and thousands of years of history.

As an official partner of the Medical University of Plovdiv, Medicor Tutor can organise the Medicine admission test in person or online, depending on the sessions scheduled. The test is a written multiple-choice exam in English with 80 questions: 40 in Biology and 40 in Chemistry.
Fees and test content differ by faculty: Pharmacy applicants answer 80 Biology/Chemistry questions and take an English assessment, while Nursing applicants answer 80 Biology/Chemistry questions and their school grades in Biology, Chemistry and English are also considered.
