We will answer your questions about the programmes, admission steps and student life.
Degree programmes
In the first years, students build their scientific and biomedical foundations in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Medical Physics, Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. The programme then moves on to pre-clinical and clinical subjects, with a growing share of practical classes, clinical skills and work with patients.
In the final years, clinical teaching and internships take centre stage, including at the University Clinical Hospital Mostar: clinical subjects predominate in the fourth and fifth years, and internships are introduced in the fifth and sixth years.
City and student life

Mostar is a university city in the heart of Herzegovina and a very different setting from Europe’s large capitals. Its smaller size makes it easier for students to organise daily life between university, accommodation and personal time.
The University of Mostar and the University Clinical Hospital Mostar create an environment closely tied to university and healthcare education: for Medicine students, the faculty and the hospital are closely connected, including for clinical training. Bosnia and Herzegovina offers a more compact student environment and comparatively accessible living costs.
Getting to Mostar: Mostar Airport (OMO) currently has a limited number of international connections. Most students travel via Sarajevo (about 2 hours by car), Split in Croatia (about 2–2.5 hours) or Dubrovnik in Croatia (about 2.5 hours).
